Martina Will de Chaparro is an Assistant Professor of History, specializing in Latin American history. Prof. Will was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Southern Methodist University in 2001-2002 and joined the TWU faculty in 2002. In addition to teaching courses in the social and political history of Latin America, Prof. Will teaches the U.S. History survey. Areas of special interest are social and religious history, public history, and the history of death and dying. Prof. Will earned her Ph.D. from the University of New Mexico (2000), her M.A. in Latin American Studies from the University of California, San Diego (1993) and her B.A. in History and German from the University of Virginia (1990). She is the author of numerous articles and the recently published Death and Dying in New Mexico  (University of New Mexico Press, 2007).
