TWU offers courses in Spanish and French.  It is possible to minor in Spanish.

                  

ANNOUNCEMENT: The department seeks applications for its tenure-track position in Spanish.  You can see the full advertisement here.

Spanish may be selected as a minor field of study for the Bachelor of Arts or the Bachelor of Sciences degree.  At least 18 semester hours of credit in Spanish are required for a minor in Spanish. Six semester hours must be at the advanced level. The department also offers courses in support of the Bilingual Education program.  Additional help with Spanish is available via a Spanish tutor who works for ESFL.

Sigma Delta Pi is the national honor society that recognizes those college students who attain excellence in the study of the Spanish language, literature, and cultures. Dr. Ninfa Nik is head of TWU's chapter of Sigma Delta Pi.  Please see her for further information.

The department anticipates having a Spanish major available soon, perhaps as early as Fall 2009.
