Courses
The English, Speech &
Foreign Language Department at Texas Woman's University offers a
wide variety of courses ranging from the writing and literature
courses you might expect to see, to foreign languages courses and
courses in speech and rhetoric. Our first year writing courses form
the backbone of our writing program. A bevy of literature,
linguistics, and additional writing courses fill out our
undergraduate English offerings. French and Speech are offered at
the undergraduate level, and Spanish is offered at both the
undergraduate and Graduate levels. We offer courses in Chaucer and
Milton, along with numerous other courses in criticism, linguistics,
and various literatures for our masters and doctoral students.
Finally, courses in the history and application of rhetorical
theories provide the core curriculum for our PhD in Rhetoric. Our
offerings reflect broad interests from British and American
Literatures to Electronic Literatures, Feminist Rhetorics, and
beyond.
