SPCH 1013. Oral Communication. (SPCH
1301) Elements and processes of interpersonal communication in all
modes. Small group activities, oral interpretation of literature,
and extemporaneous speaking. Evaluative listening and speaking
experience. Three lecture hours a week. Credit: Three hours.
SPCH 3203. Multicultural Communication. Theory and practice
of multicultural communication. Students explore American
co-cultures--including, but not limited to Native-Americans,
African-Americans, Hispanic-Americans, Asian-Americans--within the
contexts of political rhetoric, business communication, and
education. Three lecture hours a week. Credit: Three hours.
SPCH 4913. Independent Study. Detailed study of specialized
topics in speech. Prerequisite: Junior standing. Credit: Three
hours. May be repeated for credit when the topic of investigation
varies.
