Instruction in the Content Areas. Instruction in the Spanish
language for use in teaching social studies, science, and
mathematics in the bilingual classroom. Graduate standing and
permission of the instructor. Three lecture hours a week. Credit:

SPAN 5553. Spanish for
Graduate Research I. Part I of a Spanish grammar and reading
program designed to prepare graduate students for the reading
examination and to acquaint them with the language as a research
tool. No prior knowledge of Spanish is required. Three lecture hours
a week. Credit: Three hours.
SPAN 5563. Spanish for Graduate Research II. Part II of a
Spanish grammar and reading program designed to prepare graduate
students for the reading examination and to acquaint them with the
language as a research tool. Prerequisite: Spanish 5553 or
permission of instructor. Three lecture hours a week. Credit: Three
hours.
SPAN 5913. Individual Studies in Hispanic Language and Literature.
Prerequisite: Twelve hours in advanced Spanish. Credit: Three hours.
