Math & Science Day with Girls, Inc.

Texas Woman's University and the College of Arts and Sciences with the departments of Biology, Chemistry & Physics, and  Mathematics and Computer Science have hosted a "Math and Science" day for Girls Incorporated of Metropolitan Dallas for 4 consecutive years, 2011 was the 5th Annual Math & Science Day with Girls, Inc.  Approximately 40 young women from grades sixth - 12th attended each year.  Girls Incorporated® of Metropolitan Dallas is a nonprofit agency whose mission is to inspire all girls to be strong, smart and bold by empowering girls to take charge of their lives. Girls Inc. has served Dallas since 1968 and has four centers in Dallas’ most economically challenged neighborhoods. A variety of programs at the centers prepare girls to be self-sufficient, responsible members of the community. Texas Woman's University is pleased to be a partner in helping to secure success for the next generation.
