The Academic Resource Center (ARC), located in room 4132, behind the
Mega Computer Lab, is Texas Woman's University (TWU) Houston knowledge center.  The ARC has the College of Health Sciences, Nursing, and other Houston collections of books and audiovisual (AV) materials for study or check out.  The TWU Libraries catalog lists most materials on the shelves, including those your department have put on reserve for your semester study.

Free use of books, media, electric stapler, hole puncher, pencil sharpener, paper cutter, headphones, and AV preview/study areas are available plus a photocopier at a nominal charge. 

Here you can improve your skills by viewing videos of anatomy, management, and thousands of other topics.  Two AV viewing rooms have video, DVD, audio internet connected PC's and are wireless capable, accommodating one to eight students.

The Houston Academic Resource Center (ARC)  provides library services of workshops, in-classroom, and one-on-one training on library internet and in-person research and resources to all TWU Houston students, faculty and staff. In addition, the ARC staff assists Houston faculty and students to obtain their Houston Academy of Medicine-Texas Medical Center (HAM-TMC) Library card and guides faculty and graduate students to obtaining an additional card that gives them direct borrowing privileges at six area research libraries including Rice University, the University of Houston, and others.

The librarian facilitates current awareness service and direct information retrieval to faculty for teaching and research needs and teaches all Houston faculty, staff, and students to access TWU Library full text and other web resources.
