STARS, Student Alumni Relations Council

The STARS Student Alumni Relations Council was formed in the 2009-2010 academic year to better serve TWU students, our future alumni.  The STARS will create, preserve and teach tradition and help facilitate relationships between students and alumni.  Even though the organization is less than a year old, this group of ambitious students has already won an award for their work!

Jessica Romo – Sophomore, Nursing

Billy Wright – Sophomore, Pre-Nursing

 In March, 2010, at the District Conference of the Affiliated Student Advancement Programs held in El Paso, STARS was recognized with the “Best Internal Program” entry.  Citing the work that the group did to organize and to create their constitution, the judges saw their work as a model for other alumni student groups just getting started.
