TWU Black Alumni 

 The TWU Black Alumni affiliated group was founded in 2010 through the Office of Alumni Relations. 

Founding Members

Mission: 

Texas Woman’s University Black Alumni seeks to connect/reconnect the rich history of the Black Alumni at Texas Woman’s University by facilitating a sense of community.  TWUBA strives to be an inclusive association of graduates of African American, Caribbean, African, or Black descendent alumni, faculty, and staff at TWU.  TWUBA supports current students through the mission of Texas Woman’s University. 

Goals:

  1. Support the mission of TWU
  2. Mentor current students to encourage graduation
  3. Raise funds for a scholarship endowment to benefit black students

Membership:

Anyone who wishes to become involved with the launching of this organization can contact the Office of Alumni Relations through e-mail   alumnirelations@twu.edu or by joining our Facebook group or search Facebook groups for TWUBA and request to join.  You will be asked for your year of graduation and major so that your degree can be verified.  Come and join the group!

Events:

A series of get acquainted events will be hosted beginning in the fall of 2010 around the state of TX to help launch TWUBA.
