What does the Office of University Advancement do?
Our job is to develop support for TWU, its people and its programs.
TWU is a state assisted (rather than a state-supported) institution. The primary way in which we accomplish this mission is by garnering non-government financial support from a variety of areas.
Gift support from alumni, faculty, staff, corporations, foundations, friends and supporters of TWU provide critically needed funding to literally every area of the university. The trained staff at the Office of University Advancement not only solicits these charitable donations, but also performs the gift receipting for income tax purposes and stewardship duties for donor needs.
Does Your Gift Make a Difference?
YES! Every gift—no matter what the size—makes a difference! The gifts from thousands of alumni and friends quickly add up.
The TWU Founders' Awards Scholarship Luncheon and the presentation of the 2014 Founders' Awards to TWU Kinesiology Professor,Dr. Bettye Myers, and President of Denton Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Chuck Carpenter will be held Thursday, April 3, 2014 at TWU Hubbard Hall, Denton Campus.
We always welcome every opportunity to meet those who support TWU and our students. Please contact the TWU Office of University Advancement if you have questions or if we can be of service in any way.
