Students are considered transfer students if they have completed, at the time of application, a minimum of 12 or more transferable semester hours. Students with fewer than 12 semester hours are still eligible to apply; however, their admission decision will be based solely on their high school academic performance.

Once you have been accepted into TWU, your admission is good for two years before you have to apply again. However, if your application is over two years old, you will need to go through the application process again. For more information on re-applying, please contact the TWU Admissions Office.
If a course is repeated more than once for credit, the last grade earned will be recognized for transfer.
You may transfer to TWU without declaring a major, however, to be admitted to certain programs, a major may be required. TWU strongly encourages students to declare a major by the time they have earned 30 (semester) hours. Also, students wishing to be eligible for financial aid must declared a major if beyond freshman classification.
Courses from most community colleges will transfer. The best recommendation is to enroll in "core" or basic classes, such as: English composition, mathematics, social and behavioral science, history and government. A list of additional core classes can be found in the Undergraduate Catalog.

Yes, D's do transfer to TWU, however, your major may require you to have a "C" or better for their degree plan.

Our main campus is located in Denton, just 35 miles north of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. We also have campuses in the heart of the Houston Medical Center, and at Parkland and Presbyterian Hospitals in Dallas.
Yes! Men have been attending TWU since the 1970's. Male students make up about 10% - 15% of total enrollment.
Full-time undergraduate students who are single, under 21 and have less than 60 college hours, are required to live on campus, unless you are veterans of the military or living with a legal guardian or parent within the Dallas/Fort Worth commuting area.
