Our main campus is located in Denton, just 35 miles north of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. We also have campuses in the heart of the Houston Medical Center, and at Parkland and Presbyterian Hospitals in Dallas.

Yes! Men have been attending TWU since the 1970's. Male students make up about 10% - 15% of the overall enrollment.
Full-time undergraduate students who are single, under 21 and have less than 60 college hours, are required to live on campus, unless you are veterans of the military or living with a legal guardian or parent within the Dallas/Fort Worth commuting area. Studies have shown that students who live on campus do better academically and have a more fulfilling college experience. We have a variety of living options on campus, including the popular NET (Neighbors Educated Together) program and family housing. Check out the TWU Housing website for more information

TWU Institute of Health Sciences - Houston is located in the Texas Medical Center, which has more than 42 institutions and over 100 permanent buildings, including hospitals, health-related schools and research institutions. TWU produces more health care graduates than any other Texas institution and is among the nation's leading provider of health care professionals. The Dallas Center campuses near Parkland and Presbyterian Hospital place TWU students in dynamic medical settings that provide opportunities to gain professional experience. Applicants seeking freshman admission for Summer 2006 or later will not be required to submit scores on the new SAT, or scores on the new ACT with the optional ACT writing test.

Application fee waivers are only granted to students submitting the official SAT or ACT fee waiver forms.
Approximately 69% of the students at TWU are awarded financial aid in the form of scholarships, grants, work-study and loans. You should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and TWU's Application for Student Financial Aid and Scholarship Application.

TWU offers 5 intercollegiate women sports: gymnastics, softball, basketball, soccer and volleyball. A variety of intramural sports and recreational teams are also available through the Athletics Department.

Yes, Placement tests are required for new students at Texas Woman's University. Placement tests are taken prior to being advised through the Academic Advising Center. Placement tests are offered the forth Friday of March and April and during Freshman Orientation in the summer.
Orientation is required for all new students. Freshman orientation is a three part program designed to help new students transition to campus.
