summer picnic for Denton community leaders ... hosted a summer picnic to thank Denton community leaders for their support of TWU. With Chancellor Stuart is Virginia Gallian, member of the Denton ISD Board of Trustees.
luncheon with local community college administrators ... was the guest of honor at a luncheon attended by local community college administrators, hosted by Dr. Ronnie Glasscock, president of North Central Texas College, and Dr. Bill Wenrich, chancellor of the Dallas County Community College District (DCCCD). Washington D.C. ... and several TWU alumni attended a Washington, D.C., gala celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Women's College Coalition. Joining Chancellor Stuart were, from left: Betty Antilla, Alice Spencer, Stacey Keith, Barbara Mercurio, Lee Blair, Alice Rubin, Sharon Gray and TWU director of alumni relations Jurhee Curtis.
Houston ... met with Houston Center faculty and staff for an update on possible plans to construct a new facility on the TWU campus in the Texas Medical Center.
Rotary Youth Leadership ... was the guest speaker at a Rotary Youth Leadership (RYLA) Awards luncheon in Hubbard Hall. RYLA creates interest in community leadership opportunities among young people and emphasizes the importance of a college education.
