Decade of Opportunity

The past decade at Texas Woman’s University has been one of remarkable accomplishment.

  • Enrollment grew 68 percent to a record 13,338 students
  • Fundraising topped $130 million for facilities, scholarships and endowments
  • The Texas Legislature recognized and supported TWU’s notable place in higher education
  • Texans became more aware than ever of TWU and its importance to Texas

In achieving these goals, Chancellor Ann Stuart and the faculty, staff and administration have created a better education for students, a university that is a full partner in realizing the state’s goals and one that returns value to the citizens of Texas.

Since 1999, TWU has produced almost 18,000 graduates in critical fields including health care, education and business. Almost 90 percent of these graduates have remained in Texas, putting their education to work for their families, their communities and the state.

More resources committed to recruitment, scholarships and marketing contributed to record enrollment increases.
