To apply to ACCELERATE you must:
- Be employed by Fort Worth ISD as secondary teacher in the areas of ELA, mathematics, science or social studies;
- Be teacher of record for limited English proficient students;
- Receive recommendation from you Principal;
- Be admitted to Texas Woman’s University; and
- Be permanent resident or citizen of the U. S.
Application Process
I. To apply to Project ACCELERATE you first need to be admitted to Texas Woman’s University as non-degree seeking graduate student. Please follow this process;
1. Complete Online application for Graduate Admission (as non-degree seeking), and pay $50.00 application fee:
- Go to ApplyTexas
- Create an account by filling out the information requested
- When asked to select major, select “Administration (MEd)” and continue filling out the form
- Under the Educational Background area, line 17 says “Degree you will seek”. From the drop down menu select “Non degree” and continue with application.
2. Mail to Project ACCELERATE office official transcripts of bachelor's degree and any additional undergraduate and graduate coursework. Individuals with degrees from a foreign university must provide certified English translation of transcripts and diploma.
3. Mail copy of TWU letter of admission to Project ACCELERATE office.
II. While your application to TWU is processed, send the following documents to Project ACCELERATE office:
- Recommendation form signed by your principal
- Complete Application for Project ACCELERATE
