The Office
of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA)
is the chief academic office of TWU and oversees all matters related
to academic programs at TWU. The Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs works directly with other academic
administrators, faculty and staff on matters of curriculum and instruction,
program development, research and grants administration, resource allocation and
budget development, recruitment and retention of students, awarding of
scholarships, recruitment and evaluation of faculty and, in general, all matters
related to academic programs at TWU.
Administrators
reporting to the Provost include the Associate Provost, the Associate Vice
President for Institutional Effectiveness, the Associate Vice President for Undergraduate Studies, the Deans of
Arts and
Sciences,
Professional
Education,
Health Sciences
and
Nursing,
the Dean of the
Graduate School and
Office of Research and Sponsored Programs,
the Assistant Vice President -
Enrollment Management, The Assistant Vice President - Lifelong Learning, the Coordinator for P-16 Initiatives, and the Directors of the
Library, Financial Aid, and Academic Financial Services.
In addition to duties
performed on the three campuses of Texas Woman’s University, the
Provost is
a representative to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board and the
Chief Academic Officers of Texas Colleges and Universities. The Provost/VPAA reports
directly to the TWU
Chancellor and President.
