What is P-16 Education?
P-16 Initiatives are collaborative efforts designed to improve student achievement and encourage student success by smoothing transitions from one level of learning to the next.
P-16 At TWU
Office of P-16 Initiatives operates within the division of Academic Outreach - Academic Affairs to create and support effective partnerships between:
- The University Community
- Public Schools
- Post-secondary schools
- Business and Community stakeholders
The Office of P-16 Coordination provides policy guidance and staff support to statewide P-16 activities and to the P-16 Council.
Our partners include:
- Area school districts
- Community college districts
- Other 4-year Colleges and Universities
- Area Businesses
- Community and State Agencies.

GO Center
A GO Center is a physical space within each high school that provides students with information about higher education, financial aid, and career opportunities. -
TWU Mobile GO Center
Provides a way to bring college going materials and person to person support to target regions of the state of Texas. -
Regional P-16 Councils
Regional councils serve the important purpose of strengthening the states’ progress towards the goals of Closing the Gaps.
