Guidelines for Courses with Malpractice Liability Insurance (MLI)

Liability Insurance
Students enrolled in practicum courses or courses requiring clinical experience will be charged a fee for malpractice insurance on their student account.

Implementation:

Courses with Malpractice Liability Insurance are designated in the TWU data system, and students are charged the insurance fee once a year.  All Physical Therapy courses have this fee – by program rather than individual course.

Process for Designating Courses:

Annually, as the schedule of classes for the next fall semester is created and edited, departments are asked to

• Review the current list of classes with Malpractice Liability Insurance.
• By October 1, send revisions [deletions or additions] for the list to the Office of Undergraduate Studies.
