This award will be presented to TWU faculty who are developing distinguished records of service to their component, the university, their professional field of study, and/or the community. This award does not require annual presentation.
ELIGIBILITY:

Students, faculty, alumni, and members of the community may nominate faculty for this award.

Full-time faculty of all ranks, lecturer through professor, who have completed at least three years at TWU are eligible.
Those nominating should submit a letter of justification in support of the nomination.
NOMINATION PROCEDURE:
Each nominee should submit a service portfolio which includes the following items:

Nominee’s current curriculum vitae on the approved TWU vita template.

A descriptive list of service activities and their impact or effectiveness during full-time employment at TWU.

Documentation of effective participation in service activities such as evaluations of the service program or observable outcomes. Other evidence considered by the nominee as reflective of excellence in service, such as recognition by service agencies or professional groups.

A written explanation of how the nominee facilitates service and involves others in service activities.

Three letters of support from colleagues, students, alumni, and community organization leaders solicited by those who made the nomination that address the award criteria.

Submit all nomination materials electronically as Word, Excel or .pdf attachments (including letters of support), each attachment labeled with:

the award name,

the nominee’s name,

and the identifying information about the document (e.g., vita)
to Nora Sierra (nsierra@twu.edu) by 5PM on March 20, 2010. In the “Subject” line, write the Award name, followed by the faculty nominee’s name.
