This award may be presented to one or more TWU faculty who have made distinguished contributions to e-learning through program development, curriculum development or teaching. This award does not require annual presentation.

ELIGIBILITY:

  1. Students, faculty, and alumni may nominate faculty for this award.

  2. Full-time faculty of all ranks, lecturer through professor, who have taught online at least 2 semesters at TWU are eligible. 

Those nominating should submit a letter of justification in support of the nomination.

NOMINATION PROCEDURE:

Each nominee should submit:

  1. Three letters of support from colleagues, students, and/or alumni solicited by those who made the nomination

  2. Examples of e-learning teaching or program development such as:

    1. Copies of the TWU student evaluation summaries for each e-learning course taught within the last 3 years.

    2. A listing of e-learning courses taught, and new e-learning courses developed during the last three years.

    3. Most recent syllabi of the e-learning courses taught/developed during the past three years.

    4. Descriptions of curriculum transformation or programs developed

    5. A written explanation of how the nominee facilitates e-learning and develops his/her excellence in teaching electronically

    6. Any examples of innovative e-learning teaching methods or process

  3. Other evidence reflective of excellence in electronic instruction, such as workshops, clinics, service related to teaching, and advising students.

  4. Nominees current curriculum vitae on the approved TWU vita template.

  5. Submit all nomination materials electronically as Word, Excel or .pdf
    attachments (including letters of support), each attachment labeled with:

    • the award name,

    • the nominee’s name,

    • and the identifying information about the document (e.g., vita)

    to Nora Sierra (nsierra@twu.edu) by 5PM on March 19, 2010. In the “Subject” line, write the Award name, followed by the faculty nominee’s name.
