  • Be prepared.  Make sure you have read all appropriate materials available to you, including the TWU General Catalog and registration information.
  • Be specific. Learn to ask the right questions. Make sure you know what you want, then discuss these needs with your adviser.
  • Be attentive.  Listen carefully to what your adviser tells you. Take notes of the discussion. Ask questions if there is something you don't understand.
  • Be responsive.  Act on the advice you receive. Take responsibility to follow through.
