presents “The Ultimate Culinary Adventure” April

DENTON —
Texas Woman’s University invites the community to join
award-winning cookbook authors Cheryl and Bill Jamison for
“The Ultimate Culinary Adventure” on April 15
at 11:30 a.m. in the Blagg-Huey Library on TWU’s Denton
Campus.
The event includes a lecture and discussion on the Jamisons’
latest cookbook, “Around the World in 80 Dinners: The
Ultimate Culinary Adventure;” a tasting reception with
samples from the Jamisons’ cookbooks; and a book signing.
The Jamisons’ cookbooks and duplicate books and recipe
leaflets from TWU’s celebrated cookbook collection also
will be available for purchase.
Tickets are $40
per person and reservations are required by April 7. For information

Proceeds will benefit the Friends of the TWU Libraries.

Members of the
Advisory Board for the event are Betty Alford, Jane Boyle,
Jo Cassell, Valerie Clegg (The Chestnut Tree), Helen Crumpacker,
Sharon Draper, Martha Len Nelson and Chris and Curtis Wells
(The Classic Café).
The Jamisons, whose
daughter Heather is a TWU alumna, are the authors of more
than a dozen cookbooks and travel guides. They have received
four James Beard Awards and have numerous other honors to
their credit. Their recent cookbooks include “The Big
Book of Outdoor Cooking and Entertaining;” “Good
Times, Good Grilling;” “Chicken on the Grill;”
“A Real American Breakfast;” and the revised and
expanded version of their landmark “Smoke & Spice”
— one of the best-selling cookbooks of the last decade.
The Jamisons appear regularly on TV and are frequent contributors
to magazines like Cooking Light and Bon Appetit. They live
near Sante Fe, NM.
