TWU Hosts Second Annual Women's Health Conference May 9

DALLAS Cardiovascular Disease Among Women
is the topic of the Second Annual Women's Health Conference,
sponsored by the Institute for Women's Health at Texas Woman's
University and Pfizer Inc., to be held May 9 at the TWU
Presbyterian Campus, 8194 Walnut Hill Lane, Dallas.
Registration, including lunch, is $100 for physicians; $75 for
all other health care professionals; $40 for TWU faculty; and $25
for TWU students. TWU has applied for six contact hours for
physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists,
dieticians and health care education specialists, and 6.9 contact
hours for nurses, attending. To register or for information,

Speakers at the conference will include John Duncan, Ph.D.,
research professor with the Institute for Women's Health; Scott
Conard, M.D., of Irving; Suzanne Oparil, M.D., professor of
medicine, University of Alabama-Birmingham; Scott Grundy, M.D.,
professor of internal medicine and human nutrition, chairman of
the Department of Clinical Nutrition in the Southwestern Allied
Health Sciences School, holder of the Distinguished Chair in
Human Nutrition, director of the Center for Human Nutrition,
University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center-Dallas; Rosemarie
Tong, Ph.D., distinguished professor in health care ethics,
department of philosophy, Center for Professional and Applied
Ethicsat, University of North Carolina-Charlotte; and Sandra
Lewis, M.D., cardiologist, Good Samaritan Hospital, Portland, OR.
