DENTON Texas Woman's University will celebrate
Homecoming April 18-21 with a variety of events.
A $15 registration fee entitles registrants to Homecoming
mementos, admission to softball games and complementary
receptions. Some Homecoming events have an additional admission
charge. The registration deadline is April 10. For registration
information, call the TWU Alumni Office at (940) 898-2586, visit
or call the 24-hour information line at (940) 898-2534.
Homecoming highlights will be: the Distinguished Alumni Awards
Luncheon honoring Diane Dwight of Spicewood, Alice Ludeman
Spencer of Silver Spring, Md., Dr. Kathryn Stripling of Houston
and Dr. Kathryn Yandell of Seguin; a book signing by TWU English
Professor Phyllis Bridges, who wrote Marking A Trail: The
Quest Continues chronicling the first 100 years of TWU; a
dinner commemorating the 50th reunion of the Class of
1952; honors for the Class of 1977 on their 25th
reunion; and class reunions and dinners for other TWU graduating
classes.

locations. Admission is complementary with registration, unless
otherwise noted.
Thursday, April 18
- 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Homecoming registration and Boutique
of Collectable Memories, Alumni House
- 8:45-9:30 a.m. Heritage Society Coffee, Old Main
rotunda
- All day 5th Annual Student Research and
Creative Arts Symposium, schedule of presentations and
locations provided at Homecoming registration
- 10 a.m. Honors Convocation, Margo Jones
Performance Hall
- 11:45 a.m. Scholarship donor and recipient
luncheon, Hubbard Hall
- 11:45 a.m. University picnic, Pioneer Woman Circle
- 2:30 p.m. Department of English, Speech and
Foreign Languages honors and awards ceremony,
Administration and Conference Tower
- 5 p.m. Redbud Student Awards Hubbard Hall,
southeast ballroom
- 6:30 p.m. Department of History and Government
Awards Banquet, Hubbard Hall, north ballroom, $15 per
person
- 7:15 p.m. School of Management Spring Banquet,
Hubbard Hall, southwest ballroom, $15 per person

- 1 p.m. Walking tour of TWU, meets at north
entrance to Guinn Hall
- 1-8:30 p.m. Silent auction and Boutique of
Collectable Memories, Hubbard Hall
- 2 p.m. TWU bus tour, meets at north entrance of
Guinn Hall
- 2 p.m. Kinesiology academic chapter meeting,
